Hi Dave,

Just some points, The SQL Client can't do a schedule backup for the BCH =
scripts. One way to schedule SQL backups is to add a automatic backup =
policy for your SQL class and indicate the script in your file lists. So =
you should have two schedules in your policy, default policy and =
automatic backup.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] sql client backups and schedule

I have finally gotten the DSN user set up and master server configured. =
It
seems that the client should kick off the backups using the script =
created.
I do not admin the database but need to come up with the best way to
schedule the backups. The default policy (schedule) listens 24 x 7
for requests from the client and the "files" point to the script on the
client. How would the sql admin schedule the backup using the script?
Sorry for the cryptic question but not knowing how sql is managed I'm =
not
sure how to word this.

Thank You,
DClark
