If your cleaning frequency is 0, then autocleaning is enabled in NB. If you
don't want cleaning too occur, I think you'll have to set your cleaning freq
to something very big or just not load a cleaning tape and tolerate the
messages.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Drive cleaning
Below is a small sampling of the messages received since my NBU 3.2 to 3.4.2
upgrade last week. As can be seen from the output of tpclean -L my cleaning
frequency is 0 so Media Manager autocleaning should not happen. I don't keep
a cleaning tape in my Sun (Quantum ATL) L3500 library. The drives were
cleaned just a couple of weeks ago and the drive cleaning lights are NOT on.
Has anyone else experienced this behavior. I used to have this problem when
I was at NBU 3.1.1 but I don't remember what the resolution was.
