Hi all,
I?m using NBU 3.4 in an all HP-UX environment.

I had a backup that ran for an excess of 16 hours which backed up 340 Gig of
data, at which point it requested another tape and the backup died with
(Request mount not being issued due to window being exceeded therefore
giving up) error code 196.

I need to get some of the data back from the (DLT8000 tape drives) DLT tapes
that it was written to, but when I do an import all the tapes import but it
exits with import partially successful.
When I try to do a restore from the java or the xbpadm gui it doesn?t allow
me to view the files which were in the import it just shows empty
directories.

I watched the import process and it built the database files with the FULL
and FULL.f and all the files are there and it shows the names but veritas
won?t allow it to be used for a restore.

Since I know the data I need is on 2 specific DLT tapes that I have I?ve
been trying to figure out how to tar the files off (with no joy so far).

Particulars are I have the data size buffers set to 262144 and net buffer
size also set to 262144.

Can someone help me with how to extract the filesystems I need from these
tapes either using tar, or tell me how to get netbackup to recognize that
they are imported into the catalog.

Thanks very much to anyone who can provide some assistance.

Mark Eisenhardt
