I'm using NetBackup 3.4 on Solaris 8 (Sun 220R). After migrating to new
hardware (from an ultra 2 to the 220R), I get the below error in the
bprd log:
11:02:21 [1611] <4> connected_peer: Connection from host anemone,
192.168.4.202, on reserved port 538
11:02:21 [1611] <4> get_type_of_client_port: db_getCLIENT() failed: no
entity was found (227)
11:02:21 [1611] <4> hosts_equal: gethostbyname failed for NONE:
HOST_NOT_FOUND (1)
11:02:21 [1611] <2> getsockconnected: host=anemone service=bpdbm
address=192.168.4.202 protocol=tcp non-reserved port=13721
11:02:21 [1611] <2> db_getCLIENT_by_hostname: db_CLIENTreceive: no
entity was found 227
11:02:21 [1611] <2> logparams: /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bpsched bpsched
-ru root -rg other -ct 0 -class bugzilla -sched Full -IB
11:02:21 [1611] <4> wait_for_child: start
Some facts:
bp.conf has anemone as the SERVER and CLIENT_NAME
vm.conf has anemone as DEVICE_HOST
/etc/hosts looks like this:
192.168.4.202 anemone loghost
Any thoughts on what might cause this problem? The Troubleshooting
guide is weak on error code 227.
Thanks!
