Robert,
I'm not an expert, I just play one on TV, but:
Sounds like the tape has a format already recorded (other than TAR). If
this is the case, set ALLOW_MEDIA_OVERWRITE in the BP.CONF file. You might
also need to manually record a tape label on the actual media before it can
be used (records the new label in an acceptable tape format).

I'm trying to backup the catalog to a tape, but nb doesn't seem to like
the tape, even if I've verified that the tape is good.
The error being recorded in the bptm logs is: io_read_media_header:
block read is not a NetBackup media header, len = 1024, media id DDB019,
drive index 0, data is NetBackup database backup
What is the problem?
