Multiplexing settings are set in two places. The Maximum multiplexing number
is set in the Storage Unit definition. The multiplexing number to use is set
in the Schedule . . . but the thing that limits the number of jobs that a
client can run concurrently is the Maximum Jobs Per Client setting in the
Global Configuration parameter. A setting of 2 here will produce the result
that was observed.

Streams will break a server into multiple jobs. It's then up to the
multiplexing settings to handle the tape drives.

Since you say your Storage units have a multplexing settting of 2, check
your schedule for that server and see if your mux setting there is two,
also. I'll bet that's it.

I have recently tried using streams on a particular media server, where
I created
4 NEW_STREAM directives. Each are followed by a different mount point
that is
a seperate filesystem contained on a seperate disk. Netbackup started 4
jobs,
2 of which were queued, and used one tape drive for each active stream.
Is this
expected or is there something I am not considering in my class setup.
The
storage device configuration is set to allow two streams per drive so I
was under
the impression all jobs would have been active at the same time.

Thanks for any comments or suggestions.
