No - the client backup does not continue once the connection was broken.

The error 41 is from the master's point of view. The client backup is
initiated by the master's scheduler but it spawns a client process that
pushes the files back to media server. If you reboot the client, then that
process dies, the central server records that the client went away (error
41) and that's the end of the job.

If your retry rate & backup window cooperate, you may get another attempt
but that's a whole new job, not a continuation of the previous job.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Client connection timeout

Hi All,

If i reboot a client when the backups are still running the backups
fails with a status code 41 Status = network connection timed out. I
have the following in my bp.conf

CLIENT_CONNECT_TIMEOUT = 1800
CLIENT_READ_TIMEOUT = 1800
LIST_FILES_TIMEOUT = 1800

Should the backups continue after the machine have com back online and
responding?

Any clues?

Thanks for your help again.
Ajay.
