[Veritas-bu] IBM 3584 DLT 8000

 
Hi,

Have you configured seperate storage units for the two drives type?
You will need to have two, hcart for LTO and dlt for DLT8k.

Does ANYONE out there have an IBM 3584 tape library with LTO on one side
and DLT 8000 on the other?  Our LTO works just fine, but the DLT side
doesn't.

Our st.conf file I thought addressed the IBM 8000 correctly:
        "IBM DLT8000","DLT8000 Tape Drive","DLT8k-data";
and 

        DLT8k-data      =
1,0x38,0,0x1D639,4,0x1a,0x1b,0x41,0x41,3;

but the drive doesn't work.  The tape library can load up the tape in
the drive, but nothing else.  Eventually NetBackup downs the drive.

Any ideas would be appreciated!!
