Is anyone backing up the IIS metabase before running NetBackup? I've read that
NTBackup includes the
metabase in its System State backup, but Veritas Technotes indicates that
because the metabase is in
memory, NetBackup can't back it up (understandably). Would it be included if
OTM is enabled?
I've tried running the metaback.vbs script included with IIS 5.0, but I always
get 'Error backing up Metabase
to 'C:\winnt\inetsrv\metaback\metabase.MD0' (next version). Error number: 5'. I
can find no information on
what this error is. It works fine if I do a backup through MMC.
(Windows 2000 Advanced Server, SP2, server also running SharePoint Portal
server)
