Hi,
I encountered a problem when upgrading from Netbackup 3.4 to 3.4.1.
The Permissions of the binaries got changed.
for example in /usr/openv/volmgr/bin/ the binary vmcheckxxx gets changed
from r-sr-x-- to r-s------
I found this out from my other netbackup admin who does not use the root
account, but who starts a backup using the Java GUI with his own account and
the Netapp Mount Hangs. The backup never starts. This is on the NDMP
backup of his Network Appliance Filer.
I tried the same with my root account and the same thing happens.
One thing the NT admin did was change the root password on his Netapp.
I changed the root password on the Netbackup Master using the set_ndmp_attr
command to the root password of the Netapp.
This was a working system before the Upgrade and changing of the Netapp's
root password.
One question: After changing the using the set_ndmp_attr in the Netbackup
Master, do you have to stop and start the Netbackup deamons?
I would appreciate any help on this.
