[Veritas-bu] Incoherence between Netbackup Database and Actual content of robots
2002-03-22 22:57:31
Someone already answered your first question with vmupdate.
To answer the next...
vmquery (like all other vm* commands) works with Media Manager. When you use
this command you are looking at the VolDB on the VolDB Host. This shows
volumes assigned to NetBackup and Storage Migrator and volumes that are
unassigned.
bpmedialist (like all other bp* commands) is a NetBackup command. This shows
the volumes in the MediaDB on each media server. The MediaDB lists volumes
from the VolDB that have been assigned to NetBackup on that media server.

How do I compare the list of tapes that are in the Netbackup database
and the actual content of my robot ACS ?
I need the line commands to do this.
What are the difference between vmquery, bpgetmedia and bpmedialist ?
Thank you
Olivier Tanguy.
