Michael,

There are two ways to deal with this.

1. When the the Vault pick list report is run, this should expire any
DBBACKUP duplicate tapes that are due to expire.   They will then be of
in status AVAILABLE to be used again for db backups under vault control.

2. You can do this by hand using vmquery -deassignbyid.   You will need to
also run bplabel against the media if you want to re-use it for regular
backups.

Page 41 of the vault admin guide discusses this in more detail.
