I have a question about re-defining a drive in order to use two Storage
Units with both of my Classes.
   Environment:
   - NBU 3.4.1GA on Solaris 2.6
   - Master server (E420R) with L9 (single Q8000 with slots for nine DLTs)
and one media server (Ultra 10) also with L9 (single Q8000 with slots for
nine DLTs)
   - 14 Sun clients.
Currently, I have two Classes defined, with the clients spread between
them. One Class backs up to the Master Server's tape library and the other
Class backs up to the Media Server's tape library. I have a STU defined for
each single-drive robot: I defined the drive in one as DLT and the drive in
the other as DLT2. (I was hoping to keep from commingling tapes, but now I
see that that was probably stupid: one Class always finishes quickly and the
other sometimes exceeds its backup window.)
I think I want to use both of my two storage units with all Classes
(instead of sending one Class to one STU and one Class to the other), which
would require that they take the same tapes (DLTs)....right? Or should I
leave them as different densities and just let the sleeping dog lie?
If I were to redefine my tape drive, I believe that I can define the
drive in the DLT2 STU to use DLT tapes, and then I'll be fine _moving
forward_ (as long as I change over my old DLT2 tapes to be DLT tapes). Will
this change affect restoring from the DLT2 tapes until they expire? And is
there anything else that I have to do with my tapes?
Thanks for any suggestions and advice.

P.S. Last week I took the Veritas class in NBU for Unix, and I discovered a
number of things that I'd mis-read in the manual. *sigh*
