You could probably use a bpstart_notify script to check the size of the
volume before the backup begins.

Is it possible to do a pre-check on the volume of data that a client
wants to backup before launching the backup ? (ie : if the volume of
data to be be backuped is greater than 100MB, do not launch the backup)
