I had a similar problem with my E450 on an STK 9710.
It just starting getting SCSI timeouts.  We changed
cables, drives, and even host HBA's.  It finally
went away when we changed the SCSI card in the 9710 robot.
You might have a failing SCSI card in your ADIC.
Just a suggestion. :)
