Hi Gavin
I don't know weather u r successfull with legato and informix or not , but
couple of months back i was failed to do that . In the end lagato engineer put
the blame on the Solaris 8 and informix 7.3 online.
Just make sure that in the onconfig file , the volume and pool entries match
with the volumes and pools defined in the veritas environment.
Also copy the new ibsad001.so file in the $INFORMIXDIR/lib directory. You also
have to inittilize the informix to use the veritas backup agent . Details are
in veritas informix agent installtion guide.
Also check if there are any patches available fro informix database agent.

You can also check the informix part of configeration by using the storage
manager comes with informix to see weather informix is tuned to talk with the
storage manager or not.
Let me know if you need more help.
Best of Luck .
Atif

PLEASE HELP!

We are battling with an installation where a customer previously had Legato
installed. It seems we may have to make certain changes to the onconfig file in
order to get the backups running, currently they just hang after we kick them
off.

We have tried changing the following in the onconfig file:
BAR_BSALIB_PATH to /usr/lib/ibsad001.so (which points to the new library and we
have verified the symbolic link and the existence of the infxbsa.so file)
We also verified the fm_version file is correct

The Informix log contains the following entry:
Successfully connected to Storage Manager

The NBU logs directory "Infxbsa" contains the following entry:
Backups started with date and time displayed but nothing else happens

Previously with Legato running it displayed entries in the progress log within
a minute after kicking off but now we have none.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
