NBDB_Duplicateif you are sure that these are 'scratch-able'
then use bpexpdate -ev $MEDIAID -d 0
It will ask you if you are sure
if you don't want the saftey net then add -force to the end of that
statement.
after you are done check to see that they have been removed from the mediadb
of the media servers they belonged to using
bpmedialist -ev $MEDIAID -h $MEDIASERVER (I think its an -h..)
then I would make sure that they are deassigned in your volume database
vmquery -m $MEDIAID -bx | awk '{ if ( $12 == "---" ) print $1 }'
if they didn't deassign, you'll have to do that manually using
vmquery -deassignbymedia, but that's a last resort...let me know if you have
to do that.

I have many tapes in my NetBackup Database pool that I would like to
scratch, but I am unable to figure out how. I have attempted to use bplabel
but I get the error: "Request terminated because of volume pool mismatch"
I have also tried to just change the pool to Scratch, but it will also not
let me.
These tapes are no longer needed and I would like to put them into use
again.
