This is not a pure Veritas question, but since it involves NBU and SAN, I
will ask the question nevertheless.

There are two Solaris and WinTel clusters connected to a SAN (Brocade
switches with two fabrics). These clusters use Compaq disk array, and are
installed with Compaq's Secure Path application (v3.0 for Solaris and v3.1
for Windows, appropriately). The Sun clusters use JNI's HBAs and the Windows
clusters use Emulex's HBAs.

There is an ATL P3000 library also connected to the SAN which are being used
by other Solaris servers. We want to use this library to be able to back up
the data from the COmpaq disk array.

The issue we are facing is that when we boot the Solaris or the WIndows
server in its cluster, it discovers and binds to the disk array BUT it also
discovers the tape library fibre connections and binds them as DISK!?

Is there any specific configuration in the HBA.conf, st.conf, sd.conf or the
Secure Path config that we need to look at to make sure that this does not
happen, and at the same time making sure that Secure Path works properly all
the time?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Ram
