Rolf,
I suspect it depends on what your starting point is for the full restore.
Are you just dropping data over a working box or are you starting from bare
metal? Also, are you using the IDR capabilities? And last but not least,
this box isn't a Domain Controller is it? If so the process for a restore is
quite different than from a member server.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] unable to restore drivers under W2K
Hello everyone.
At a customer site i run into the following problem.
After a restore of a full backup of Windows 2000 Advanced Server some
drivers are not restored correctly.
We use an Eicon card witch causes blue screens during a reboot after a
restore. When we delete this card and related registry settings, and install
the card later again everything works fine.
We use a Gemplus Smart Card Reader. This driver is not installed correctly
and has to be installed manually after the restore.
Both the backup job and the restory job report no errors. After checking the
report log for both jobs all the files are overwritten correctly.
Has anybody an idea what can cause this problem?
Regards,
Rolf
