I've been handed this setup and now I'm trying to figure the easiest way
to get this up and running.
Tape Unit: Dell Powervault 136T - 6 LTO drives
Fibre Switch: Dell 51T direct attached to the Powervault & 5 Win 2000
Hosts, each with their own Fibre Channel HBA.
I plan on using host 1 as the master/media server
How do you config it so that the hosts will directly talk to the LTO
drives via Fibre Channel but have the master/media server control what
drives it can write to and have the maste/media server store the
information about the data that each client is backing up ?
Am I going about this the wrong way ?
