I am attempting to restore 21,595 files (11.7G) to an alternate client,
it is taking approximately 4 hours to generate the file list to restore.
I am trying to restore from one directory on one server to an alternate
server and an alternate path. I am running the command: bprestore -R
filename -C fromsrvr -D tosrvr -L progressfile -s date -e date -f
listofiles.

When I call veritas their response is: "Yes it will take a while to
generate the list, the fastest way to generate it is through the command
line". I talked to them about indexing the database, per them this is
only for a small number of files that need to be restored repetitiously.
I can not believe this is an acceptable length of time, or an
excessively large number of files, I also find it hard to believe that
larger shops would be willing to wait this long for a large restore. =20

Any Suggestions?!?
