I've checked the path, there are no typo's and, in fact, a  regular file
system backup of the same paths works fine. Very strange error, can see
anything wrong with the catalog path.

                 What paths/files is your DB backup backing up? Common cause
is
                a typo or wrong path in there. If during the DB backup a
path or a
                file is unavailable/unreachable, then the DB backup fails
with this
                message.
                 Check bpsyncinfo ouput.
