I haven't used SDLT with Solaris, but I am currently with W2K.

SDLT works fine as long as it is at Firmware 35.  Veritas has also
recently released a Jumbo Patch NB_341_2 (or something like that) that
officially supports SDLT.

I made the appropriate st.conf changes, media pool, volume groups etc
We just got a quantum SDLT drive and have it hooked up - but getting
media
write errors (84) and 52 - timeout errors.
