Assuming that the tape in question is not a duplicate copy(image # 2),
another idea would be to create a duplicate of the original tape. You ensure
that you are duplicating to the desired pool, and once duplicated you can
then expire the original media as Miriam outlined. You then change the image
number on the duplicated tape to copy # 1, and you now have your images in
the desired pool.  You can then perform another duplication run using your
standard duplicate pool if desired.
