Both commands are at the server and according to the manual the bpclient
settings override the bp.conf settings.

I would assume that settings on the Master override settings on the client.
There is a way to allow/disallow restores on specific clients from the
server, but I'm not certain about the details.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] DISALLOW & bpclient override
On my server in the bp.conf file I have
DISALLOW_CLIENT_LIST_RESTORE.
On several clients I have used bpclient to allow list and
restore
odin#bpclient -L -client client1
Client Name: client1
Current Host:
Hostname: client1-b
IP Address: 172.31.25.70
Connect on non-reserved port: no
Dynamic Address: no
Free Browse: Allow
List Restore: Allow Both
Max Jobs This Client: Not Specified
Valid Host:
Hostname: client1-b
IP Address: 172.33.215.179
bpclient: the requested operation was successfully completed
(0)
but when I run xbp from the client and do the "file, browse
backups
(restore)", click on the "close" button for the warning
"because the images
in the default date range etc etc" and then "edit, update" I
get "invalid
request".
Any ideas?
