Greetings,
I've seen this occur twice with a similar set up. In both cases the problem
was due to the Catalog backup failing or hanging silently. Check the tapes
you're using for the catalog backup, make sure they're valid.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Backups not started
Hi All,
I am running Netbackup 3.4 on Solaris 7.
In the last 2 days, 24th and 25th, none of my backups have started. There
is no indication of them starting.
They are in the schedule, times etc. but they did not start. There is no
reports of that in the logs. I had enabled VERBOSE in bp.conf and I looked
at all the logs, no sign. Also, I looked at the
/usr/openv/netbackup/db/images directory and looked for the backup images,
but no sign.
I started the backups manually for now, but I want to get to the root cause
of this problem.
How should I go about troubleshooting this scenario? Any help would be
appreciated.
Thanks
