We were told by sales rep of Midwest Systems that there are only
two companies making DLT tapes: Fuji and Maxell, and this info
came in from Imation. I do remember someone found similar info
on Quantum Web site.
Imation brand contains Fuji+Maxell tapes 1:3.
Maxell works for us much much better and cost less than Fuji and
Imation, so we switched to Maxell. I collected statistic for 5000 tapes.
By the way Midwest offered us free replacement for bad tapes if
we provide them back without degaussing.
