[Veritas-bu] Disaster Recovery Practices
2001-07-21 17:36:25
I am trying to find some documentation or
procedures on how
to create bootable cdrom's with netbackup support.
>From reading
the Disaster recovery section in the Netbackup 3.4
admin guide,
it looks like the following steps are needed to
recover a machine:
Assumes a Sun box
1) boot -s cdrom
2) bring up network interface so client can see
master/media server
3) push the netbackup client from the master
server
4) Restore all files to the client
I am trying to streamline the restoration process
but need more detailed
info. How are people recovering from catastrophic
system failures now?
Thanks for any info,
Ryn
