Did you ever get an answer to your question?

I need to be able to capture the results of a backup and restore and store
it in a mysql database. The information I need is backupid, date and time,
kilobytes, starttime, etc. I tried using the notify scripts but this
information is not being passed to it plus Christopher is correct, the job
id is not being passed either. Without the job id, I can not use other bp
commands to get the data I need.

The reason I need this is because at the end of the month I need to produce
a report that shows how much was backed up or restored for the month. If I
have incrementals that expire every 2 weeks then that information can not be
captured in a monthly usage report because it is no longer in the NBU
database.

Any suggestions?

When I see the sea once more,
would the sea have seen or not seen me?

Backup gurus:

I'd like it if bpstart_notify and its friends could include the Job ID
number in the information it sends me. I know this is not one of the
parameters that gets passed to the script. How could I get NetBackup to
automatically tell me the Job ID of a backup job it's kicking off?

Thanks!
