Hi all,
A. I'm having a problem with the drive availability
for the SSO configuration. Currently, a few clients
are using the same storage unit (media server)to do
backup. What happened was, if one client fire a
backup, it will used only 1 drive. While the other
client that run a backup afterward, must wait for the
other drives able to do a backup. This mean that the
backup was queueing until the drive are free and only
1 drive are being used.
Question :
1. Is there any parameters to set to make sure that
all the drives are usable for the backup jobs ?
2. Is there anything to do with mulplexing setting ?
3. Can i put several client under 1 schedule ? It
will reserving all 6 SSO drives after fire a schedule
backup ?
4. While the other backup process queueing, some of
the backup has been running very2 long, it took about
10-15 hrs and still hanging. What was a problem ?
B. I've configured some parameters under the
/usr/openv/netbackup/bp.conf as follow on the master
and media server:
RE_READ_INTERVAL = 450
BPTM_QUERY_TIMEOUT = 600
CLIENT_CONNECT_TIMEOUT = 500
CLIENT_READ_TIMEOUT = 900
TIMEOUT_IN_QUEUE = 30000
WAIT_IN_QUEUE
QUEUE_ON_ERROR
Questions :
1. Is it the correct way to put these parameters ?
2. Is there any additional parameter to be put in to
checking on the drive availability ?
Regards,
Effendy
