Tape Alert (cleaning when it is needed) is supposed to be automatic; but since
it doesn't really work, who really knows... (I guess it works well with most
drives except DLT 7000s).

Frequency Based cleaning can not be used with SSO.

I don't think Frequency Based cleaning can be configured with the GUI.  The
CLI for it is

...\volmgr\bin\tpclean -F drive_name  frequency_hours

You can also use tpclean to perform a manual cleaning.

Does anyone know how to set up cleaning tapes schedules from the command
line or the GUI interface.

(Windows 2000 master server Veritas, 3.4 Data Center.)
