Hi,

Were using 9840's as well and have been told to use:

STK9840      =       1,0x39,0,0x18439,1,0x00,0

0x39 represents 9840's with the latest st patch.
The difference here is (0x18349) buffering is disabled and knows EOD is
disabled.

Currently we use:

STK9840      =       1,0x36,0,0x1d639,1,0x00,0

Which is identical to yours except reserve/release.

I suspect 0x36 is not a real concern, yet Im intrigued
as to why weve been told to disable buffering and EOD.

What are your thoughts? Ive been chasing this issue with
Veritas for weeks and havent had a consistent response.

My poll to date suggests 2 use it, 1 doesnt.

Regards
Peter Marelas
