The following is from the Veritas Knowledge Base, and describes
NUMBER_DATA_BUFFERS_RESTORE.
Quite likely, the NUMBER_DATA_BUFFERS and/or SIZE_DATA_BUFFERS have been
changed on the NetBackup Server. However, there is another parameter,
NUMBER_DATA_BUFFERS_RESTORE that needs to be added and it should have
the same value as the NUMBER_DATA_BUFFERS.
Where is this applicable?
A system that has limited resources and the NUMBER_DATA_BUFFERS has
been set below the
default 8, would be the ideal candidate to set
NUMBER_DATA_BUFFERS_RESTORE to ensure
that the number of buffers does not exceed the memory of the system.
The NUMBER_DATA_BUFFERS_RESTORE file is created in the
/usr/openv/netbackup/db/config directory, the same as the
NUMBER_DATA_BUFFERS and
SIZE_DATA_BUFFERS. The file should contain the number of desired
buffers to be used for
restores and should be the same value that is found in the
NUMBER_DATA_BUFFERS.
