This could be a problem with your fibre hba driver binding another scsi
driver (sd, ses, etc.) to the same target you are trying to bind the tape
drive in st.conf to.  If this is a JNI adapter, check in either fcaw.conf or
fca-pci.conf to see what your def_hba_binding value is set to.

This might not work on its own either.

If boot -r doesn't work on its own, try cleaning out /dev/rmt first. Then 
use boot -r.
