[Veritas-bu] Backups very slow
2001-03-05 10:46:20
Hi Terese,
we had a similiar problem, when we backed up a server over ethernet and the
server was put in halfduplex mode while the switch was in fullduplex mode.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Backups very slow
All,
We are having a problem with our backups running extremely slow. This
just occurred about two weeks ago. The only change we have made is that
the amount of data on one of the servers went from 2gb to 140gb. This
shouldn't be a problem and we do have larger servers.
For example. Our largest server has ~367gb of data and is also the
netbackup slave with the tape library. It used to backup in about 24
hours or so. It currently has been running 60 hours and has only backed
up 347gb.
There are no errors in the logs. We have verified that there are no
network issues.
We are currently running NB 3.1.1ga (waiting for software to go to 3.4).
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Terese
