Correct.

However, when I run the restore it does not end successfully. The recovery
leaves the dbspace in an inconsistent state because it cannot find the log???

The script /apps/informix/current/etc/onsyslog.sh should be calling
'onbar -l' to backup the logs.  Then you should be able to see in the
onbar log (~informix/etc/bar_act.log in our case) entries like this:

 2001-01-30 15:20:04 9977  9975 Begin backup logical log 20738.
 2001-01-30 15:20:04 9977  9975 Successfully connected to Storage Manager.
 2001-01-30 15:20:42 9977  9975 Completed backup logical log 20738.

The second line means that onbar connected with NetBackup.  If you're
seeing these entries, then you should find that for each log backup
there is a backup job on NetBackup.  The Job Monitor may help you see
them.
