tpconfig is the way to go! congrats first of all on selecting the right tool
for the job.

now on to the problem...

tpconfig is giving you these errors?

can you send me the tpconfig -d output and the sgscan output?

that will probably help troubleshoot this for you.  I've been using tpconfig
since version 1.6 and have never come across an error like that, so I'm real
interested in seeing what would cause this.

We are using NetBackup 3.4 on an E250 as both the Master and Media Server.
The library is an L180 with two 9840 tape drives.
I have managed to configure the L180 using tpconfig. When I attempt to
configure the 9840 drives, I get the following error message:
"Could not get globalDB hostname". Does anyone know why this happens, and
how to fix it.
