[Veritas-bu] Netbackup DB tapes
2001-01-02 13:09:03
Kim,
I imagine you need to delete the media ID from Media Manager and NBU before
reusing it. When you reinsert the media into the Media Manager database,
you can specify number of prior uses, expiration date, etc, as appropriate
to the method you use for media aging.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Netbackup DB tapes
We use bpvault to backup our NetBackup database. We are
attempting to re-use
NB Database backup tapes (from bpvault) after they have
expired.
We are seeing the following errors logged from Netbackup:
01/01/01 18:27:51 bigbuserver bigbuserver FREEZING media id
000157, it
contains
NetBackup database backup data and
cannot be used for
backups
This is happening on over 30 different tapes. Is there
something special we
need to do to re-introduce these tapes?? Have you seen this
before?? Here
is a vmquery output:
stpsn066# ./vmquery -m 000157
