[Veritas-bu] Windows systems using DHCP
2000-12-20 17:57:35
I just had my site upgraded from BudTool to NetBackup for DataCenter
(3.4) last week.
I also purchased licenses to backup the multitude of desktop systems
running Windows.
So far, I have been unable to configure NetBackup to resolve the
IP address of the Windows client, and initiate a backup.
I can insert the IP address/Client name into the /etc/hosts file of the
backup/media server, and initiate backup, but this defeats the purpose
of having DHCP.
Backup/Media server is a Sun UE450 running Solaris 2.6
Windows clients are running Windows 2000.
The Backup/Media server are on seperate networks.
Any suggestions on getting this functioning correctly.
