Did you have any abnormal terminations of backup jobs recently?

Do you know how long these bpsched -mainempty processes have been in the
process table?

All 38 tapes have the correct residence?

sorry for the 20 questions.

Before midnight we had a lot of backups fail and I think its as a result
of the bpsched process(es). Most of the errors came back as status 96
(unable to allocate new media for backup, storage unit has none
available), however, there were 38 new tapes it could pulled out of the
pool. After midnight I can see that it did pull 2 new tapes and assign
them, so it worked somewhat last night.

I've called support and looked on the web, but no solid answers yet.
Currently there are 3 'bpsched -mainempty' processes and one 'bpsched'
process. How abnormal is this? We are running NBU 3.1.1 w/Solaris 2.6.
