Hello Matt

OTM cache size problems would result in code 11's not code 1's. I believe that
code 1's indicate problems with individual files within the filesystem being
backed up such as long filenames or read errors. I suppose you could turn on
debugging to see which file is causing the problems (anybody with any hints on
an easy way to turn all those pesky newlines to carriage return line feeds in
the bpkar logfile?) or you could just scan your disks (would an NT person care
to comment on how, can't seem to find scandisk on my laptop).

I believe that code 1's don't invalidate the backup run like code 11's do, so
you've still got backups minus the problem files. Currently, I'm not going to
worry about my code 1's till I've got the others under control.

Hello,

Currently, I am fighting an OTM issue which is causing my NT client
backups to fail. Recently, we have upgraded from version 3.2 to version 3.4
as an eval customer. I am concerned in that since we have upgraded, all of
our NT client backups are failing with a return code 1 which indicates that
the client was unable to backup certain registry files etc. Also, when I go
into the admin GUI and try to "configure" the client, I am getting a "unable
to connect to Master" error. I have stopped and restarted everything and am
still getting these errors. My Master server is an HP N class server
running 11.0. Also, I am seeing issues where the admin GUI is not seeing
Master server hostname changes. Please help!!
