bpclient -client <NBclient_name> -update current_host <hostname>
may be what you want.  This "does not" change the name of the
client as it appears in the NetBackup, though.  I didnt try
this, so you know what that means..

Why not maintain the old hostname as an alias to the current
hostname?  It's simple and easy.
