In short, it's possible but your firewall administrator may blanch at
the notion of opening up as many ports as it may require.

although the above page doesn't point out that the "allow inbound
512-1024 connections" can be modified by use of the
"ALLOW_NON_RESERVED_PORTS" bp.conf option...
