When saving an Oracle Database using the NetBackup provided Extension, the 
backup completion status message only refers to the success of the NBU 
Script that initiates the EBU/RMAN facility - right?

So when NetBackup shows a status 0 for an Oracle Backup it is only 
confirming the success of the Backup script. RMAN could have failed to have 
output the data to it's 'Media Manager' (in this case NetBackup), and the 
backup be incomplete or non-existent.

What recomendations do you have to ensure the backup is actually complete 
and successful from an RMAN point-of-view?

Can these status' be automated and brought into NetBackup or do I have to 
manually monitor all RMAN logs upon backup completion?

Does Veritas have any plans to amalgamate the RMAN success status into the 
NetBackup Job Monitor?
