Craig,
Check out the man page for the bpbackupdb command.
I can't tell you why they don't have a schedule mechanism.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Script for backing up NBU DB
I'm running NBU 3.2 on Solaris 2.6.
Does anyone have a script that backs up your NBU DataBase that I can run
by
cron at a set time everyday?
Does anyone know why Netbackup doesn't allow you to do NBU DB backups on
a
daily basis from the Database attributes GUI? For a development
environment
you might not want to mount a tape and write the DB after every backup.
They
should allow you to schedule it just like a class on a 24 hour basis.
Thanks
Craig Everett
