Max,

If you want the data to go directly from the machines to the drives then you
will need to have them directly connected otherwise they are simply clients
move data to one media server. In that case you will not need SSO.

If I want to set up more than one media servers to use a single set
of drives, do I need these machines to be physically connected to the drives

?

Or can I make it work with just one media server connected, and the
other media servers working through this server ?
(Forgive me, if this sounds like a silly question.)
