Batch labeling works just fine.  NW does send the alert "Waiting for a writable 
tape for pool xxx" and there are perfectly good empty tapes sitting there 
waiting to be used.

If so, the general management is ok, just that no data will be written.
In this case i suppose that the tapes will not be marked as full. That could 
also be the reason why NW will not come up with an alert.
