Sorry, you already mentioned that the host name was the same.

I am a bit confused as you also said that you can query the MDB successfully.
However, it is my experience that onyl a corrupted MDB would prevent NW from 
starting up. I assume this is the reason why you can't connect later.

  - Make sure that you have an entry for 'localhost'.
  - Start the services manually:
      - net start nsrexecd
      - net start nsrd
  - Have a look at the daemon.raw file. It will tell you what the problem is.
  - If you still do not see the reason, increase the debug level for the 
services (D=3 should be sufficient).
