Re: [Networker] Optimization for backing up to DD as a AFTD

Independent orgs have show backups with networker 8.0 to be 50% faster because
of enhanced performance. Your mileage may vary...
http://www.storagereview.com/emc_networker_80_released_50_faster_3x_more_scalable
"EMC credits a revised architecture for NetWorker which lowers processor and
RAM demands to drive up to 3 times more scalability with existing resources.
Additionally, the new "client direct" feature removes NetWorker storage nodes
from the data path, reducing backup times by 50% or more."

Subject: [Networker] Optimization for backing up to DD as a AFTD
Hi,
I am curious to know if anyone on this list have any optimization tricks or
best practices they could share in using a DD as a AFTD target..
I have upgraded my networker to 7.6.3.7 and DD is at 5.1.1 ..
I have set my target sessions to 1 and max session to 50.
Is there anything else to make this go faster?? !
Thanks
-Joe
