I have a disk that is being backed up from a Windows server. The system
administrator has no
idea what is going on, but keeps asking me why it reports 2GB backed up when it
really has 2 TB
of data on it. I have watched during the backup by running:

printf "show session\nprint type:nsr\n" | nsradmin -i -

and I can see that the session reports that it is backing up the 2TB. However,
the savegrp
notification that is mailed out lists just the 2GB (2040 MB to be exact).

Would sparse files account for this difference in reported sizes? Or should I
be looking for a
real problem?
